Intensive Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Electricity In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and dealt with problems to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, according to local officials.

Moscow has increased assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and applying sanctions," was stated in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets struck the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were working to restore power.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the metropolitan region endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor died and several individuals were wounded.

The attacks follow evenings of air raids in the territory, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to identify.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the country's energy grid, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and authorities were bracing for more assaults.
