Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
